Our Mission

There are nearly half a million-youth living in Arizona where out-of-school time programs are not accessible. ICAN will lead the way to ensure that every child has access in underserved communities. At ICAN, we provide access to out-of-school time opportunities that empower all youth and their families to pursue what is most meaningful to them.

Our award-winning, year-round program provides a safe, engaging environment where youth explore experiential learning and self-discovery, building a strong foundation for their future. Guided by a holistic approach, we help young people thrive academically, socially, and creatively through four interconnected pillars:

• Academic Support: Providing literacy, math and homework help, along with other educational supports to encourage academic success.
• Positive Youth Development: Building competencies like confidence, character and connection to support holistic growth.
• Enrichment & Future Exploration: Facilitating enrichment and future exploration opportunities that expose youth to a broad range of career-centric activities at early ages.
• Community & Family Support: Providing essential out-of-school time services that promote stability, access, and peace of mind for parents, allowing families to pursue what's most meaningful to them.

We provide these programs free of charge in order for parents and caregivers to maintain employment and advance their economic opportunities.
